Bloom Garden
Farmington, CT

This residential project entailed a formal garden design for Theodate Pope's former residence in the village of Farmington. The property, connected to the historic Hillstead Museum, has been placed on the Smithsonian Archives of America. Key site elements included formal terraced gardens, a gazebo, brick walks and lush plantings. A walled swimming pool and terrace were created at the back of the property and use a palette of materials reminiscent of the more historic portions of the property.
