Charleston Place successfully incorporates a major hotel, conference facilities, retail and a 440 car garage on a 3.5 acre site in Charleston's historic district. Due to its location in one of America's oldest historic districts, the project involved extraordinary public and private interaction and a complex approval process. Thoughtful design elements, including façade setbacks and the restoration of landmark buildings, were incorporated to maintain the scale and character of the neighborhood. ULI Award for Excellence.
