Riverfront Recapture
Hartford, CT
Master plan, design, permitting, and phased construction of Riverside Park and the 1.5 mile multi-use path system on the Connecticut River. Key components include creative design solutions due to narrow site constraints, replacement of a portion of the existing floodwall with flood control gates for daily on-grade access under I-91, and design to withstand periodic flooding. Once fully completed, Riverwalk will reconnect the local communities to the river through a continuous, accessible, multi-use path system extending from the north at Riverside Park south to Charter Oak Landing.
